A New Name for a New Era in Commodity Trading and African Infrastructure
Energetech is pleased to announce its official rebranding as Auremin, effective April 2026. The new name marks the company's evolution from its origins as an energy trading business to a fully integrated commodity trading and infrastructure platform - one built on years of growth, deepened expertise, and an expanding operational footprint across Africa.
Auremin's operations span some of the continent's most strategically important corridors, including the DRC, Tanzania, and the Dar es Salaam–Lubumbashi route, connecting global markets to Africa's critical resources. The company trades across energy products, construction inputs, and critical metals, while developing the physical infrastructure that underpins the movement of these commodities across the region. While the name has changed, Auremin's founding values of integrity, reliability, and long-term partnership remain unchanged.
Commenting on the milestone, Alistair, Group Chairman and CEO of Auremin, said: "Energetech is now Auremin. We started in energy trading. What we've become is broader - a platform trading critical minerals and energy, and developing the infrastructure that moves them across Africa. The name change is the easy part. The work ahead is the most ambitious we've ever taken on. Welcome to Auremin."
Auremin will continue to serve its existing clients, counterparties, and partners without disruption. All operations, contracts, and relationships established under the Energetech name remain fully valid and in force. Stakeholders are encouraged to update their records to reflect the new brand name going forward.
